Ministry of Music
At First Congregational Church, worship is at the heart of who we are. We come together each week to celebrate, reflect, and connect with God through inspiring music, prayer, and thoughtful teaching. You will find a welcoming place here to lift your voice and your spirit.
Ministry of Music

Organist / Choir Director – Paulette LaBarre
It is the intention of all the choirs to use the gift of music for enhancement of our worship of God and enrichment of our lives. The Ministry of Music at First Congregational Church welcomes you!
Music is an essential part of worship and community life at First Congregational Church in Auburn. Through choir and handbell music, we celebrate faith, express joy, and invite all to share their gifts in worship. Whether you sing, ring, or simply love listening, there’s a place for you in our music ministry.
Church Choir
Our adult choir helps lead the congregation in worship each Sunday. From classic hymns to special anthems, the choir enriches services throughout the year — especially during Advent, Christmas, Lent, and Easter.
Rehearsals: Wednesdays from 6:00–7:00 PM in the choir room
Leadership: Directed by Paulette LaBarre
The choir is a warm and supportive group, welcoming both longtime members and those new to choral singing.
Bell Choir
The Bell Choir adds a bright and joyful sound to our worship services through the art of handbell ringing. With two octaves of bells and two octaves of handchimes, this ensemble offers beautiful musical expression and teamwork.
Rehearsals: TBD
Who can join: Open to high school students and adults — no previous handbell experience needed!
New members are always encouraged to give ringing a try — it’s fun, accessible, and rewarding.
